How It's Made

Loop by loop,
by hand

A tufted rug isn't printed or woven by a machine. It's shot into a stretched cloth one pass at a time, then finished by hand. Here's what happens after you send the idea.

The Idea

You send a picture, a character, a logo, a name — whatever you want on the floor or the wall. We settle on size and colours.

On The Frame

The design gets drawn onto primary cloth stretched tight across the frame. That outline is the map for every pass.

Tufting

Yarn goes in with the tufting gun, colour by colour, filling the shapes from the outline inward.

Glue & Backing

The back gets sealed so nothing pulls loose, then a backing is laid on and left to cure.

Carve & Finish

Cut off the frame, trim the edges to the shape, and shear the pile until every line reads clean.

Tuft Love Rugs Inc. is a one-person shop. Every rug on this page was drawn, tufted, glued, trimmed and carved by hand — no factory, no print, no shortcuts.

That's also why no two come out identical. A rug takes as long as it takes to get right, and it doesn't leave until it does.
